A $2.4 million federal grant will help Fargo Public Schools and its partners show students what careers in education have to offer. It's called the "Education Workforce Innovation Partnership," and it's headed by Fargo Public Schools. It's part of Arizona State's "Next Education Workforce" initiative. Fargo received a federal grant worth more than $2.4 million to launch it. The goal is to meet with high school students, para-professionals, and those looking for a new career to show what education jobs have to offer. "I think what we have to ask them is, 'Is there a higher calling, a calling to change someone's life, a calling to impact your community, a calling to know that 40 years down the road, you're going to remember your favorite teacher's name?'" said Cory Steiner, superintendent of Fargo Public Schools. "We need to talk to students about being teachers and about the joy and the value and the impact that they can have in that profession," said Colin Irvine, president of Concordia College.
